STAR WARS IN CONCERT = AMONG THE BEST THINGS EVER
highlights include!
-C3P0 narrating
-and his microphone breaking down. so he walks offstage, comes back on all 'let's try that again, shall we?', and then it breaks down again twenty words later. he strolls off, comes back with a handheld microphone, and addresses the audience directly: 'none of you saw anything go wrong. did anyone hear any mistakes?' and the audience immediately responds 'nooooooooo'.
-the orchestra playing the THX soundcheck and the 20th Century Fox fanfare before actually beginning the concert
-guy in an eight-foot Wookiee costume
-walking out of the stadium, saw a four-or-five-year-old kid dressed as Yoda riding on his dad's shoulders. two minutes later, saw a kid, about the same age, riding on his dad's shoulders while dressed as Darth Vader. saw an assortment of tiny Sith, Jedi, bounty hunters, and so on riding on their parents over the course of the next ten or so minutes. i feel like i missed some sort of epic piggyback showdown. moderately disappointed by this.
